Day 1

(approx. 540 km): Departure at 06:00 from Bucharest (Constitution Square, in front of the House of People, large parking lot) on the route Bucharest – Ploiesti – Brasov – Miercurea Ciuc – Suceava – Return. We visit:
– On our way we will not miss the opportunity to admire the Red Lake , a natural dam lake, formed after the collapse of a mountain slope, caused by a strong earthquake on January 23, 1838. This impressive geological phenomenon has created a unique landscape, which annually attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world. – We will admire from the coach the Bicaz Gorges , a famous place, considered the gateway between the historical regions of Moldova and Transylvania. Located in the Hasmas Mountains , the Bicaz Gorges are part of the Bicaz Gorges – Hasmas National Park , one of the most impressive natural reserves in Romania. These spectacular gorges have been shaped over time by the Bicaz River, creating landscapes of rare beauty and attracting tourists from all over the world. Accommodation with dinner at Hotel Continental 3* or similar in Suceava.

Day 2

(approx . 200 km): Breakfast. We visit:
– We will visit the Ciprian Porumbescu Memorial House in the village of Stupca, the only building remaining from the former parish house of the locality. This was transformed into a museum in 1953 and was the home of the Porumbescu family between 1865 and 1884. The great composer Ciprian Porumbescu spent part of his life here. In the museum we discovered heritage objects, such as the piano of Marioara, the composer’s sister, and family photographs.
– The Cacica Salt Mine, set in a spectacular landscape, offers not only the rarefied air, but also a unique atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and exploration. Among the unmissable attractions of the Cacica Salt Mine are the underground chapel, the saltwater pools, the echo chamber and the mine museum, which houses artifacts and exhibits illustrating the history of mining in the area.
– We will worship at Putna Monastery – the Jerusalem of the Romanian nation – the first and most important foundation of Voivode Stephen the Great and Saint. – Putne Monastery , a haven of tranquility, peace and blessing. – Zamca Monastery , built in 1606, is a symbol of the tradition and history of the Armenians in Moldova. Built by Armenian refugees in the region since the 16th century, the monastery impresses with its unique architecture, which combines Gothic and classical elements, with oriental influences, offering visitors a special place of worship. Accommodation with dinner at Hotel Continental 3* or similar in Suceava.


Day 3

(approx . 180 km): Breakfast. We will visit:
– A ride on the Hutulca Mocanita is an authentic way to discover the natural beauties of Bucovina, following the course of the Moldovita River. This historic mocanita, put into operation since 1888, was initially used to transport wood from the forests in the area to the cities.
– The Moldovita Egg Museum is the largest museum with decorated eggs in the world, comprising over 11,000 exhibits, created by the plastic artist Lucia Condrea.
– The Moldovita Monastery , founded by Petru Rares, son of Stefan cel Mare, is a symbol of the religious and cultural tradition of Bucovina. Dedicated to the Annunciation, the monastery impresses with its history and famous exterior paintings, which depict historical, religious and cultural scenes. Inside there is a museum that houses valuable pieces, such as the princely throne of Petru Rares, the monastery seal, traditional embroideries and heritage icons.
– Voronet Monastery, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, was built in 1488 by Stefan cel Mare, as a thank you for the victory against the Turks. According to legend, during a difficult period in the war with the Turks, the ruler consulted with Archimandrite Daniel, and, after defeating the enemies, Stefan cel Mare kept his promise and built this monastery dedicated to Saint George, the protector of Romanians in battle.

Day 4

(approx. 540 km): Breakfast.
– Izvorul Muresului Monastery , located at the foot of Hasmasul Mare Mountain, at an altitude of 950 m, is a sacred place founded in 1996, out of the desire of the local community to create a spiritual center in the region. This modern monastic complex includes a Brancovenesc-style church, a cell building with a chapel, the priest’s house, the bell tower and other household annexes, offering visitors a place of peace, prayer and meditation.
